This urban tension awning was installed on the 10th floor of a luxury apartment skyscraper in Jersey City. The new tower is part of an 18-acre master-planned development along the Hudson riverfront. The awning, crafted from durable 205 Serge Ferrari, is just one part of this urban oasis, designed to act as an amenity-rich common area for residents. Working from the architectural firm’s specs, we executed not just the awning but also its steel frame, which includes a movie screen that recesses into one of the beams. During construction, a crane lifted the massive powder-coated steel columns and beams into place. Fully engineered for commercial use.
