The inn’s existing metal frame tent didn’t quite live up to the setting’s beauty. In its place, we designed this Savannah-style event tent that fits neatly on the hotel’s waterfront platform. The frame is solid fir. Besides the tent’s custom-crafted French doors, its perimeter is comprised of handsewn side curtains, which open for a plein air experience. Another thoughtful design feature is a generous canopy overhang for additional weather protection. Overall, this tent defers to the harbor views while catching the eye with pleasing geometry during the day and a glowing sailcloth canopy at night.
